About Us

And Still I Vote is a campaign of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the nation’s oldest and largest civil and human rights coalition made up of over 220 diverse organizations working to build an America as good as its ideals. This campaign is leading the way in bringing awareness to how some policymakers are erecting barriers that make it harder for Americans to access the ballot, highlighting the experiences of the people most affected by those barriers, and encouraging everyone to help break down those barriers before the 2022 midterm election. Voting is the most democratic tool we have available to us, and it’s up to us to create a democracy where every eligible voter can cast a ballot, and have it counted. After the historic turnout in the 2020 general election, many policymakers are trying to restrict the ability of certain communities from voting.

Here are ways you can join us in our efforts to ensure voting rights for all Americans, regardless of race, background, or political party.

  • Call your member of Congress and tell them to support passage of HR1, the For the People Act, and HR4, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act.

Spread the word

Did you know that millions of Americans can’t access the democratic process because of solvable problems in how elections are run? These problems aren’t felt equally across communities – voters of color are 6x more likely than white voters to wait longer than an hour to vote, even in the same town. Spread the word to help defeat barriers to the ballot box.
