Comey. Powell. Tillis. Anyone who won't bend the k Comey. Powell. Tillis. Anyone who won't bend the knee gets targeted. Trump is using the full power of the federal government to go after anyone who stands in his way—prosecutors, judges, senators, and Fed chairs. It doesn't matter who you are. If you won't fall in line, you're next. Get back to the people’s business. We’re waiting.
The only way we have a democracy is through civil The only way we have a democracy is through civil rights. And the Supreme Court's decision in Louisiana v. Callais just gutted one of the most powerful tools we had to defend both. That tool was the only thing stopping politicians from drawing maps that deliberately target Black and Brown voters. Now it's gone. Nowhere is that more dangerous than in the South, where nearly 60% of Black Americans live—and where this ruling opens the door to wiping out Black representation in Congress almost entirely. Congress must pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act. And every state legislature must follow. Our multiracial democracy is worth fighting for, and we will not stop until every voter has a real voice in it.
The Supreme Court's decision in Louisiana v. Calla The Supreme Court's decision in Louisiana v. Callais is a direct attack on the Voting Rights Act. But make no mistake about why this is happening: this ruling is an attempt to disenfranchise Black and Brown voters in order to consolidate the Administration’s own political power. They are trying to make it harder for our communities to elect leaders who are actually accountable to us. It will not work. The fight for fair representation did not begin, and will not end, with Callais. Register to vote, make a plan, and bring your community with you. #DefendVotingRights #HowWeFight

The Callais decision gives politicians a green lig The Callais decision gives politicians a green light to disenfranchise voters of color. But our vote is still our power. They know it, and that’s why they are coming for it. We will not back down until the future of our multiracial democracy is protected.

We say NO to ICE violence and occupation; NO to working people being squeezed while billionaires and corporations hoard the wealth our labor creates; NO to a democracy rigged to protect the powerful. We say NO to a country that works for them and not for us. #MayDayStrong

With today’s ruling in Louisiana v. Callais, the S With today’s ruling in Louisiana v. Callais, the Supreme Court has disgracefully gutted Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965This decision strikes at the heart of our multiracial democracy and is a direct attack on every citizen's right to have an equal and effective voice in our democracy. This is a Louisiana case, not only tells the Black people in Louisiana that being one third of the population won’t mean they have one-third of the opportunity to elect leaders who will respond to their needs and demands, it tells partisan politicians that they can discriminate if they call it partisan. Every state is now free to draw maps that attempt to silence the political power of Black voters. When voters of color are denied fair representation, communities suffer, whether it’s health care, fair wages or funds for schools. Today’s decision is a profound attack on our voting rights. But this is not over! We will not and cannot give up the fight. We did not begin this fight with Callais, and we will not end it here. We will continue to push forward, protect every vote, and work toward building a truly representative democracy where every voice counts.
The Department of Justice is demanding Wayne Count The Department of Justice is demanding Wayne County, Michigan’s 2024 ballots, using false claims about election fraud to interfere in state elections. This is another escalation in the Trump administration’s efforts to take power, not win it. Every voter's right to cast a ballot and have it counted must be respected and secure. link in bio

This Earth Day, the data is clear: environmental h This Earth Day, the data is clear: environmental harm is not equally shared. Communities of color are three times more likely than white communities to live in areas stripped of parks, wetlands, trees, and clean air. This is environmental racism. Access to a healthy, livable environment is not a luxury. It is a fundamental right.

We are the ones who make sure that everyone can live, love, vote, work, study, travel, and simply be themselves, free from discrimination. This administration views our movement as a threat to its power. But we will not be intimidated, and we will not be silenced.

Spread the word

Did you know that millions of Americans can’t access the democratic process because of solvable problems in how elections are run? These problems aren’t felt equally across communities – voters of color are 6x more likely than White voters to wait longer than an hour to vote, even in the same town. Spread the word to help defeat barriers to the ballot box.
